In addition to enjoying the beatiful environment British Columbia has to offer, I am also interested in the continually growing community of E-Sports. E-Sports have similar psychological principles in comparison to regular sports but focus on mental toughness and conditioning rather than physical. In my spare time I have attended a few gaming conventions including the Penny Arcade eXpo in Seattle and the Vancouver Fan Expo. Currently I am involved with the DSU E-Sports club in promoting the E-Sport community!

Meet Mark,
I'm a 4th year Bachelor of Physical Education and Coaching (BPEC) student currently enrolled at Douglas College. I plan to graduate in Fall 2017 with my Bachelor degree and with Kinesiology specialization.
My goal is to become a Recreation Programmer where I will able to create and carry out programs aimed at promoting fun, physical activity for people of all ages.
I grew up in New Westminster, where my love of recreation began. During my youth I was enrolled in many extra-curricular activities such as skating, gymnastics, soccer and basketball. However, basketball became my first love. I aspired to be an elite basketball player and played in the BC Summer Games, as well as various basketball club tournaments across the lower-mainland and the United States.
Currently, I am no longer competing but still participate in recreational pick-up games of basketball at Douglas College and Bonsor Rec Center. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, cliff jumping and anything else outdoors. BC has the ultimate outdoor recreation landscape so I believe it shouldn't go to waste!
